Inside the Creative Mermaids Facebook group I like to give away extra freebies. It is both a way of thanks but also a way to encourage everyone to share their work. Marketing can be icky. Especially if you are mermaid. You love what you do, you are a passionate creator and telling people to buy your stuff can suck. At the same time, how are you going to get the word out? That is what I want the FB group to do for the mermaids! Share a digital copy and ask for reviews. Find your people not by shoving your stuff down their throats but rather by offering it up to others who may in fact love it. And they can then share it with their friends. Build relationships rather than scaring people with your shouting. Everyone is happier!
